Iorana Rapa Nui

Picking sweet potatoes, collecting sea urchins, learning to fish and sharing stories with good friends are just a few of the reasons why Rapa Nui is such special place to work. In 2017, management of the park was transferred to the indigenous Polynesian community Ma’u Henua and I was honored to partner with them to document the island’s cultural heritage.

A Deal with the Rainmaker | Nigeria

The Sacred Grove of Osun Osogbo is a forest sanctuary located on the banks of the Osun river. The UNESCO World Heritage site is home to incredibly ornate shrines to different Yoruba deities. Every year visitors from around the world come to visit the site during the Osun Festival. The site is threatened by flooding and changing weather patterns and am grateful for the friendships and cooperation with the Nigerian government and the Adunni Osun Foundation to help share this place with the world.

Embracing Limbo in Tamil Nadu | Mahabalipuram, India

Helping the local fishermen collect sand crabs for bait was a definite highlight of a recent trip to Chennai and I took full advantage of my jetlag to document as many sunrises as possible. I spent the majority of my time in the beach towns of Mahabalipuram and Chennai, during some of the worst days of the water crisis in 2019.
