Based in California, Kacey works at the intersection of cultural heritage and development. As the Director of Programs and Development at CyArk, Kacey collaborates with communities to use 3D recording technologies for conservation and sharing stories about places.

He contributed to CyArk's involvement in Heritage on the Edge, an initiative designed to raise awareness for the impacts of climate change on World Heritage sites by focusing on elevating community perspectives. Currently, Kacey is engaged in projects to train local communities on how 3D recording technologies can support site conservation and digital storytelling.

Kacey's academic background includes Master’s degrees in International Relations and World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development from the American University in Washington D.C. and the University of Turin. Kacey received a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Geography from California State University, San Luis Obispo.
